Alors que ma pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente \u0153uvre vocale Ihm eine Hymne sur des textes de Else Lasker-Sch\u00fcler \u00e9tait emplie essentiellement de gravit\u00e9, l\u2019univers du po\u00e8te am\u00e9ricain William Carlos Williams m\u2019a permis de passer de l\u2019ironie surr\u00e9aliste de The barber \u00e0 l\u2019extr\u00eame int\u00e9riorit\u00e9 de The veritable night ou \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vocation quasi picturale de la ville nord-am\u00e9ricaine dans Crusteceous wedge.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Six textes qui ont inspir\u00e9 autant de mouvements que j\u2019ai souhait\u00e9 fortement caract\u00e9riser. Comme la forme de cette \u0153uvre, devait rester aussi organiquement musicale, j\u2019ai choisi de d\u00e9velopper les ressorts po\u00e9tiques et dramaturgiques des textes \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur et au-del\u00e0 de chaque mouvement. Ainsi seul le quatri\u00e8me mouvement ,qui correspond \u00e0 la partie la plus introspective de l\u2019\u0153uvre, est isol\u00e9. Les mouvements 1 \u00e0 3, et 5 et 6 s\u2019encha\u00eenent visant \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une forme \u00e0 la fois profond\u00e9ment unitaire et tr\u00e8s diversement contrast\u00e9e, color\u00e9e.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ecrit pour les musiciens de TM+ , dont les sonorit\u00e9s et le phras\u00e9 que je connais si bien m\u2019ont accompagn\u00e9 mentalement tout au long de la composition, et la mezzo-soprano Sylvia Vadimova qui en est la d\u00e9dicataire,\u00a0Spring and All confronte une \u00e9criture vocale \u00e0 la fois lyrique et moderne (enjeu toujours complexe pour le compositeur d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui) \u00e0 un univers instrumental mouvant, miroitant.
