Ainsi nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9, avec Laurent Cuniot, de partir d\u2019un spectre qui serait une image sonore: il est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans la partitition par un tissu vocal tram\u00e9 par les vox des chanteurs et il vient hanter la pi\u00e8ce. Ce tissu vocal raconte aussi au prince Hamlet des choses qu\u2019il est le seul \u00e0 entendre ou \u00e0 comprendre.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avant de travailler avec Laurent Cuniot je savais d\u00e9j\u00e0, par mon exp\u00e9rience pass\u00e9e, que le compositeur d\u2019op\u00e9ra d\u00e9termine dans sa partition la premi\u00e8re mise en sc\u00e8ne du texte, et j\u2019ai rencontr\u00e9 l\u00e0 un compositeur qui voulait que le texte soit inscrit dans l\u2019\u00e9criture musicale. Nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 ensemble de l\u2019attribution vocale, nous avons choisi les chanteurs et ordonn\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9criture \u00e0 partir du groupe ainsi constitu\u00e9.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pour le r\u00f4le d\u2019Hamlet, nous voulions aussi une id\u00e9e sonore: nous l\u2019avons trouv\u00e9e quand nous avons compris qu\u2019Hamlet devait avoir une voix de haute-contre. Nous avons v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 cette id\u00e9e en imaginant la rencontre Hamlet\/Gertrude (sc\u00e8ne4): rencontre impossible de la voix de haute-contre avec celle de la soprano colorature. Hamlet pose une infinit\u00e9 de questions mais pour les Cinq pi\u00e8ces, la seule qui reste pos\u00e9e est la premi\u00e8re:\u00a0\u00bbWho is there?\u00a0\u00bb (Qui est l\u00e0?)<br \/>Cela veut dire: qui est l\u00e0 physiquement. Mais aussi l\u2019un des probl\u00e8mes terrifiant d\u2019Hamlet est pos\u00e9: la question du sujet.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les Cinq pi\u00e8ces pour Hamlet sont comme une spirale vers la folie, qui est au bout de cette question de savoir: au th\u00e9\u00e2tre qui parle? C\u2019est avec suspicion qu\u2019Hamlet \u00e9coute cette voix qui l\u2019am\u00e8ne petit \u00e0 petit \u00e0 douter de lui m\u00eame.
